Celebrating Our Heroes on America's 250th Anniversary

Sponsor a US Flag to be displayed to honor someone who has been a hero in your life or in your community. The sponsored US Flag will be flown in the open area on the south end of the Ascension Church campus for two weeks surrounding Independence Day. A medallion and placard with your hero’s name will be attached to the flagpole. After the display period, the medallion and placard will be mailed to you as a keepsake.
Sponsorships are $50 for one hero or $75 for two heroes on the same flag.

​Who is your hero?  A hero can be anyone who impacted your life or community including men or women who are serving, or have served in the military, first responders, health care professionals, parents, teachers, coaches, mentors, community leaders, clergy, and others.
Opportunities to sponsor a flag in-person will be available before and after all the Ascension Catholic Church masses on the weekends of May 23rd/24th and May 30th/31st, 2026.  Look for an information table and Knights to answer questions and provide forms.
Proceeds go toward Knights of Columbus Council 14573 and Assembly 3482 Benevolent Funds
